Games Played - 13 January 2016

11 people in attendance and 4 games played split across 3 table. Games played were Amun-Re, a second run out for Kingdom of Kiralysag and the latest game of the Legacy Deck building system based on Alien.

Five of us played Amun-Re, one of the games that we've played off and on going back to early on in the club's existence, when we finished last Wednesday I thought that it was a particularly high scoring game, but looking back in the records it doesn't seem so unusual, I'd got in mind a game that was played early last year which had particularly low scoring. I thought I could have done with a few more bonus score power cards, rather than all the 5 sacrifice adjustments I had through the game, but I heard similar comments from others, so I shouldn't complain. Rob did well with the pyramids, buying a huge number of bricks in the final round.

Mark & Steve enjoyed beating up on the Aliens, with both games won, although I notice that in the second case they declared Mark a single winner.

Scott was setting up Kingdom of Kiralysag when I arrived so as to get on with it quickly, I gather the game has changed somewhat since last week although I don't know the details. The game was still going as I left and the view seemed to be that there wouldn't be a finish, so I've recorded a No Result, if that was not the case, let me know and I'll change the records.

  1. We did not manage to finish Kingdom of Kiralysag. Another playtest at Dragoon's Den in Moseley also resulted in an unfinished game. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to give it a more fundamental redesign in terms of mechanics, card content and graphics with the aim of making it quicker-playing!
