Games Played 19 March 2014

OK short post this week to get it in before the next meeting. We had 14 in attendance and 6 games were played. I found out at the end of the session that it would be the last for Andy T who is moving up to Scotland, I hope he enjoys it up there. Looking back at the stats I see that Andy first came to the club in June 2011 and has been to 58 of our sessions and played 116 games.

A quick note on the games, there were three new ones, Concordia from Mac Gerdts without the rondel (hooray), which was interesting, also Archon and Gunrunners, which Chris brought along (edit:actually Stan brought Gunrunners as per Chris's comment) and he talks about here. There was further play for Nations and Russian Railroads and a run-out for King of Tokyo.

Details follow.

  1. Yet again I messed up a rule in Russian Railroads. It affected us all the same so no difference in positions though we'd have all had higher scores if I'd done things properly. I didn't take out the trains to adjust for there just being 3 players. We all went for a mixed strategy both developing our railroads and industry in roughly equal measure.

  2. Minor correction: Just Archon that I brought along, Gunrunners is Stans =)

  3. Something I got asked on the 19th was about not getting screwed by import-tax/customs charges on kickstarter. There's a convenient geeklist on bgg to help out with that, listing projects where they ship from with the EU to avoid the extra charges, just thought I'd share =)
