Games Played 11 December 2013

Another milestone this week with 18 in attendance, the highest recorded for the club. The previous highest was 16 dating back to July 2005, we have had 15 on 6 previous occasions including twice since October this year. This week we welcomed three new attendees, 2 Chris's and Grace.

We spread over 5 tables, which I think might also be a record, but it is a bit more difficult to confirm that. Chris S had brought some games, one of these being Euphoria, which was played for the first time at the club. Also getting a run out was Sid Meier's Civ, which has been played once before at the club and as on that first occasion, the game went unfinished, which I think would be par for the course unless the game was played a lot. Also seeing another run out was Tzolk'in, for the 18th time this year.

The Power Grid game was played on the Quebec board and was a close run thing, I ended it in the hope that Mike didn't have enough money to get to 17 himself, he did have. I had the money, but unfortunately not the capacity.

The next meeting will be the last of the year, as (for obvious reasons) we will not meet on the 25th. At the moment it looks likely that there will be something on on New Year's  Day, but we will confirm that next week.
