Saving up a load of cash and hammering the car all the way around the track is great fun for throwing people off their planning.Mattnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330733710984197384.post-46599456073329010102014-05-02T22:10:37.409+01:002014-05-02T22:10:37.409+01:00I also felt Union Pacific came along and did it be...I also felt Union Pacific came along and did it better based on the original Airlines. Though I always felt Union Pacific could do with a little more streamlining. The new Airlines might have been improved. It certainly plays at a pace with you wrapping up a 4 player game with new players in 70 mins.Gordonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15250520181673058978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330733710984197384.post-33653895195678026462014-05-02T19:26:15.544+01:002014-05-02T19:26:15.544+01:00I never played the original Airlines, although I n...I never played the original Airlines, although I nearly picked up a copy from the bring and buy at the first UK expo. I only know this and the "middle child" Union Pacific which I think I prefer.Dave Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330733710984197384.post-11124187165782588752014-05-02T09:56:58.748+01:002014-05-02T09:56:58.748+01:00I used to own the original version of Airlines. I didn't rate its big brother Cuba even with the expansion that cured one major issue regarding turn order, the clever mechanisms got swamped with too many building options, but Santiago is much cleaner and packs a lot of decision-making into well under an hour.
